To Whom It May Concern: Janet Smith joined Siebel Systems as a Director, Engineering on October 2, 2000. We are currently in the midst of our most complex software release to date. Based on her demonstrated initiative, drive, organization, and communication skills, I offered her the position of Department Head to start a new department, The Engineering Program Office, at the end of January 2001. In this capacity, Janet reports directly to me. The Program Office is responsible for Engineering Program Management including process definition, schedule management, risk analysis, communication, and training for our Engineering organization, which consists of roughly 1000 people.
